Here is another fabulous looking bag!!! This bag is made from an Louis Vuitton Monogram Bordeaux. This bag is W9.5 x H6 x D1.2" and is ready for her new owner!
The exterior is in fantastic shape, I cleaned her up and recoated the edges, making her look brand new. The strap was missing, so I've added some gold D-rings to the top and a matching adjustable leather strap (39-51"). The interior is super clean with just a couple of scratches. The zippered pocket, however, is UNUSEABLE. The Vuittonite (see below) in the pocket has deteriorated so badly that it could not be repaired without affecting the integrity of the bag.
The Orvis bags has a date code of A20972, which indicates it was manufactured in France in July 1992. It will come with the original LV dust cover and will ship Priority mail or UPS.

About Vuittonite: Prior to 1997, Louis Vuitton lined many of its bags with a vinyl-like material known as Vuittonite. It was used (and patented) by Louis Vuitton because its resistance to water makes it easy to clean. Unfortunately, when exposed to high heat or humidity, Vuittonite begins to deteriorate and peel away from the edges of the bag. Over time, it becomes increasingly sticky, forming a residue (which, in extreme cases, is black in color) that transfers to anything placed inside the bag. If your Vuittonite is starting to get sticky, try putting some talcum powder inside, lightly coating it. It works!!!
